Setting Up Mowing Zones and Task Areas

How to map your lawn and define mowing areas in the Mammotion app

Before your robot can mow autonomously, it needs to know your lawn. You create a task area in the Mammotion app for this purpose.

 

Creating a task area

 
  • Tap Create Task Area on the app's home screen.
  • Follow the in-app instructions and confirm the robot is ready.
  • Tap Start Mapping – the robot will drive along the boundaries of your lawn.
  • Once mapping is complete, tap Mow to start the first mowing session.
 

Multiple task areas

 
  • You can create multiple areas, e.g. front garden and back garden.
  • When starting a mowing session, simply select the desired area.
 

Editing a task area

 
  • On the map page, tap Map and then Edit to adjust an existing area.
 

Note: Do not move the RTK reference station after the map has been created. If you do, the task area will become inaccurate. Reinstall it in its original position or delete the map and remap your lawn.
