Mapping the Mowing Area and Setting Up Zones

How to create your garden map and set up mowing zones and exclusion zones

Mapping is the most important setup step for your Mammotion robot mower. Only after mapping does the robot know where it is allowed to mow and where it is not.

 

Applicable to: LUBA 2 AWD, LUBA 3 AWD, LUBA mini AWD, LUBA mini 2 AWD, YUKA series

 

Prerequisites

  • Robot is connected to the app
  • RTK antenna is installed and receiving a GPS signal (LUBA series)
  • Charging station is set up and connected
 

Starting the mapping – step by step

  1. Open the Mammotion app and select your robot
  2. Tap "Create map" or "Start mapping"
  3. Follow the in-app instructions – the robot drives along the boundaries of your mowing area
  4. Review the created map in the app
  5. Manually adjust the boundaries if needed
 

Setting up zones and exclusion zones

  • Define mowing zones for different areas of your garden
  • Set up exclusion zones to exclude flower beds, ponds, or other obstacles
  • Set individual mowing settings for each zone (e.g. cutting height, mowing direction)
 

Important: After mapping, do not move either the charging station or the RTK antenna. Otherwise the map must be recreated.
