Cleaning Charging Contacts and Sensors
How to keep the contacts and sensors of your Mammotion robot clean
Dirty charging contacts and sensors can lead to charging errors, navigation errors or unreliable operation. Clean these parts regularly.
Charging contacts on the robot (rear)
- Clean the rear charging contacts with a dry, clean cloth.
- Remove all grass residue, dirt and moisture.
- Apply a corrosion inhibitor to the contacts before storage.
Infrared receiver on the robot
- Regularly wipe the infrared receiver on the rear of the robot with a cloth.
- A clean receiver ensures the robot reliably finds the charging station.
Charging contact & infrared transmitter on the charging station
- Disconnect the charging station from the power supply before cleaning.
- Clean the charging contact and infrared transmitter with a brush and dry cloth.
Vision camera / LiDAR module
- Wipe the lens with a microfibre cloth.
- Do not apply pressure to the module.
- Clean the module as needed, but at least once a week during the mowing season.
Note: Do not use solvents or cleaning sprays on the contacts or sensors.
