How to set the mowing pattern for your Mammotion robot

In the Mammotion app, you can define how your robot moves across the lawn. The cutting path mode affects the mowing pattern and efficiency.

 

How to change the cutting path mode

 
  • In the app, tap Mow > Settings > Cutting Path Mode.
  • Select one of the following modes:
 

Available modes

 
  • Perimeter only: The robot mows only the lawn edges. Ideal for quick edge maintenance.
  • Zigzag: The robot moves in parallel lanes, creating classic stripe patterns.
  • Checkerboard path: The robot mows crosswise for a dense, even result.
  • Adaptive zigzag path: The robot automatically adjusts its route to improve efficiency. Recommended for irregularly shaped lawns.
 

Tip: Switch modes regularly to ensure even lawn wear and avoid ruts.
