How to connect your robot to the app and Wi-Fi.

Download the app and connect your robot

The iRobot HOME App (or Roomba® Home App for newer models) is required to set up your robot and access all features.

Prerequisites

  • Smartphone or tablet with iOS or Android.
  • Wi-Fi network: 2.4 GHz required. Some newer models also support 5 GHz.
  • Robot on the dock and powered on.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Download the app: Search for "iRobot Home" or "Roomba Home" in the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Create an account: Register with your email address.
  3. Add the robot: Follow the in-app instructions.
  4. Connect to Wi-Fi: Enter your Wi-Fi password.
  5. Complete setup: The app guides you through further steps.

Note for older models

Models without Wi-Fi (e.g. Roomba 600 series without WiFi, 680, 800 series without WiFi) do not require app setup.

Applicable models

With app/Wi-Fi: Roomba 600 series WiFi, i1, i3, i5, i6, i7, i8, s9, j series, 105, 115, 205, Plus 405, Plus 406, Plus 505, 575, Max 705, e5, e6, Braava Jet m series.
Without app/Wi-Fi: Roomba 600 series (no WiFi), 680, 800 series (no WiFi), Braava 300 series, Braava Jet 250.
