Do Not Disturb mode and child lock
How to prevent disturbances and accidental starts of your robot.
Do Not Disturb mode and child lock
Some iRobot Roomba models offer features to keep the robot quiet or prevent accidental operation by children or pets.
Do Not Disturb mode
In Do Not Disturb mode, the robot does not run scheduled cleanings and does not emit sounds.
- Enable: Open the Roomba® Home app → Settings → "Do Not Disturb". Set the desired time period.
- Disable: Turn off the mode in the app.
Available on: all Wi-Fi-enabled models.
Not available on: models without Wi-Fi.
Child lock
On selected models, you can lock the robot's buttons to prevent accidental starting or stopping.
- Enable: Open the Roomba® Home app → Settings → "Child Lock". Activate the lock.
- Disable: Turn off the child lock in the app.
Note: Child lock is not available on all models.
Quiet mode (Eco mode)
Eco mode reduces suction power and therefore the noise level. Set it in the app under "Suction level".
Tips
- Combine Do Not Disturb with a schedule to control when the robot cleans.
- Use child lock if young children or curious pets have access to the robot.
