Understanding error messages and error tones
Your robot indicates problems through tones, LED indicators and voice announcements. Here's an overview of the most common error messages.
Roomba (newer models: i-series, j-series, s9, 100/200/400/500/700 series)
Your robot notifies you with a voice announcement or acoustic warning. Open the Roomba® Home App for additional troubleshooting steps.
- If you're unsure whether the robot has finished or is paused: check the status in the app.
- Press the CLEAN button or tap the bumper to repeat the error message.
Roomba Combo – Alarm tones
Roomba 600 series / 800 series / 900 series / e5 / e6
- A two-tone error signal indicates a problem, followed by a verbal recording (WiFi models).
- The troubleshooting indicator also flashes.
- Press CLEAN to repeat the message.
Clean Base / AutoEmpty™ Dock – LED indicators
AutoWash™ Dock – LED indicators
Braava 300 series – NSI light
Braava Jet 250 – Error tones
- Problems are indicated by tones and light indicators.
- Press the bumper once to repeat the message.
- Spray problems: if the robot won't spray even though the tank is full – contact customer service.
