The iRobot HOME App – Getting Started

What is the iRobot HOME App?
The iRobot HOME App is the central control hub for all Wi-Fi-enabled iRobot robots. You can use it to set up your robot, start cleaning jobs, create schedules, and adjust settings.
Requirements
- Smartphone or tablet: iOS or Android (current version recommended)
- Wi-Fi: 2.4 GHz network (5.0 GHz is not compatible with most models)
- Bluetooth: Must be enabled on your smartphone (for initial setup)
Step-by-step setup
- Download the app: Download the iRobot HOME App from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
- Create an account: Create an iRobot account or sign in.
- Add a robot: Tap "Add a robot" and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Establish Wi-Fi connection: Select your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
- Name your robot: Give your robot a name.
- Done: Your robot is now connected and ready to use.
What can you do with the app?
- Start / stop / pause cleaning
- Create a cleaning schedule (e.g., daily at 09:00)
- Adjust suction power (on supported models)
- Adjust mopping intensity (on Combo models and Braava jet m6)
- Manage Smart Maps / maps (on i-, j-, s-series and new Combo models)
- Room cleaning – select individual rooms or zones
- Set Keep Out Zones (on models with camera/mapping)
- View cleaning history
- Display maintenance alerts and error messages
- Link voice control (Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant)
Common setup problems
Note: Models without Wi-Fi (e.g., Roomba 500, 600 without Wi-Fi, 700, 800 without Wi-Fi) are controlled directly via buttons on the device and do not require an app.
Compatible models (all Wi-Fi-enabled): Roomba 600 Wi-Fi (671, 675, 676, 691, 694, 696, 697, 698), 800 Wi-Fi (891, 895, 896), 900 series, e-series, i-series, j-series, s-series, all Combo models, New generation (105, 115, 205, Plus 405/406, Plus 505, Max 705), Braava jet m6132/m6138
