Adjust suction power and cleaning levels

Depending on the model, you can adjust the suction power and cleaning intensity of your robot.

Roomba – Suction power

Many Roomba models offer different power levels, adjustable in the app:

• Eco: Lower suction, quieter, longer run time.
• Standard: Balanced power for daily cleaning.
• Boost / Max / Turbo: Maximum suction for stubborn dirt.

Carpet Boost (automatic carpet detection)

On many models (i series, j series, s9, new generation), the robot automatically increases suction on carpets. This feature is called "Carpet Boost" and can be toggled in the app.

Mopping intensity (Combo models & Braava)

• Combo models (105, 205, Plus 405/505, Max 705, Combo i8): Choose the water amount in the app (low, medium, high).
• Braava Jet 250: The intensity depends on the pad inserted: blue = wet cleaning, orange = damp cleaning, white = dry cleaning.
• Braava 300 series: Choose between wet and dry mode via the mode button.

Number of passes

On Smart Map models, you can choose in the app whether the robot should make one or two passes per room.

Models without app control

Models without Wi-Fi (600 series without WiFi, 800 series, 680) do not have adjustable power levels.
